Police are hunting for a sick thief who stole a dog while her owner was having a heart attack in the street.
Kat Conway had been walking her Shih Poo, Jessie, when she collapsed on Euston Road near the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London at 2pm on Monday, June 6.
The 50-year-old, who is from Paisley, near Glasgow, was left helpless while paramedics rushed her to hospital for urgent treatment.
But in the process the crew said they could not allow her to take six-year-old Jessie with her in the ambulance.
Ms Conway says she remembers a man with blond curly hair initially coming over to her with an offer to help during the incident.

However, the man, who was around 5ft 7ins tall, then took her apricot-coloured dog.
Speaking today, Ms Conway said she is distraught at the thought Jessie is without her.
‘I’m really worried about her,’ she said.
‘She’s always with me and is my shadow.
‘This is breaking my heart and all I want is her back home so I can cuddle her.’
Kat has had Jessie from a puppy when she got her a rescue dog.
While Ms Conway was being treated by paramedics it is claimed a man stole Jessie (pictured), who is a Shih Poo dog
Ms Conway, who took Jessie in as a rescue dog when she was puppy, has been discharged from hospital and is back at home in Paisley.
‘I don’t want to say anything bad as it might make things worse,’ she added.
‘But I feel terrible and just want my Jessie home safe and sound.’
An online appeal has been launched to find Jessie, who is neutered, chipped and has her details registered correctly to Ms Conway’s home.
Jessie’s front legs are bowed, and she was wearing a matching collar, harness and leash with a pink and white tartan pattern.
On the Facebook page called Find Wee Jessie, it says: ‘We believe the blond haired man has her dog.
‘But as yet he does not have seemed to have contacted the police or dog warden to report that he has the dog.
‘We are looking for any hotel staff or passers by who witness what happened.’
A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘Police are investigating an allegation of theft after a dog was reportedly stolen in Euston Road, NW1, on the afternoon of Monday, 6 June.
‘Officers have taken a statement from the informant and enquiries are ongoing.’
