Skid Row frontman Johnny Solinger has died at the age of 55, just a month after telling fans he had liver failure.
The musician’s bandmates confirmed the sad news that the 55-year-old singer had died in a Facebook post today.
‘We are saddened to hear the news of our brother Johnny Solinger,’ it read.
‘Our thoughts are with his family, friends and fans. Godspeed Singo. Say hello to Scrappy for us.

Mr Solinger, who rose to fame as Skid Row’s lead singer when the band reformed in 1999, shared the news of his devastating diagnosis in May.
In a social media post, he wrote: ‘It is with a heavy heart I must let everyone know what’s going on with me and my health.
‘I have been hospitalised for over the last month. I have been diagnosed with liver failure. And prognosis is not so good.

‘As with most musicians I do not have health insurance and it’s very difficult to get proper care without it.’
He had had to resort to setting up a fundraising page to cover the medical expenses.
An update on his health was added to the fundraising page just days before his death was announced.
Brian Lawrence, who organised the fundraising, wrote: ‘He will get a new catheter for dialysis, the blood clot in his leg taken care of and a vessel in his heart fixed.

‘All these procedures have risks. But they need to be done in order for him to be a candidate, so of course I consented to them.’
He signed off the update with: ‘I know he wants to live, and thankfully I have total trust in the team taking care of him. They are truly doing everything humanly possible to save his life.
‘One big step today. We’ve got his. He’s got this.’
The vocalist previously said that he was on ‘at least seven different medications’ and needed to have fluid drained from his abdomen ‘every couple of days’.
Mr Solinger became the front man of Skid Row three years after the band split following the departure of Sebastian Bach.
He featured on two of the band’s albums, Thickskin in 2003 and Revolutions Per Minute in 2006, and two EP’s, 2013’s United World Rebellion and Rise of the Damnation Army in 2014, before leaving the band himself in April 2015 to be replaced with TNT singer Tony Harnell, who quit himself eight months later.
At the time, he claimed he had left to pursue solo work, but the band said he had been fired.
He was reportedly married to actress Paula Marcenaro Solinger, whose most recent credits include the 2021 Amazon Prime film The Pizza Joint and Girl Next.
The couple, who were private about their personal life, revealed that the had tied the knot in 2011.
Earlier today, she posted in an Instagram story: ‘The reality is, you will grieve forever.
‘You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it.
‘You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered.’
