Sporty women who work out have more lovers than couch potatoes, research claims

SPORTY women notch up many more lovers than couch potatoes, research says.

They are 73 per cent more likely to have slept with at least ten partners than those who shun exercise.

Experts believe being part of a sports club or team may give them a greater chance of meeting a partner.

Drinkers and smokers were also more than twice as likely to have ten-plus lovers compared to abstainers — possibly due to risk-taking tendencies.

Around one in five blokes said they had double-digit conquests, compared with one in 12 women.

Men in the bottom and top earnings brackets also had most partners.
