Super Bowl celebrations descend into violence with one shot as Los Angeles Rams fans seen ‘setting off fireworks in bus'

AT least one person was shot while “violent and destructive” Los Angeles Rams fans allegedly set off fireworks inside a bus following their team’s victory in the Super Bowl.

The Rams narrowly defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Sunday’s star-studded match at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Fans poured onto the streets following the Rams victory. Some lit fireworks in the middle of the road, while others sprayed graffiti on a Silver Line Metro bus that contained passengers.

Some also jumped on the roof of the vehicle as they reveled in their team’s success.

Supporters blocked the road as they posed in front of a bus for pictures that contained an electronic message that read "Go Rams".

One person was taken to hospital after being shot in East Los Angeles, CBSLA reported.

The incident happened near the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Whittier Boulevard at around 9:30pm local time.

Their condition currently remains unknown and no information about the suspect was disclosed.

The LAPD tweeted: "We are seeing violent and destructive behavior by large crowds in the heart of the Downtown LA area.

“We have issued several dispersal orders and have a large police presence. Everyone that is part of those crowds, obey all dispersal orders and clear the streets immediately.”

Police warned that fans who didn't obey the orders were subject to arrest.

Cops fired projectiles as they tried to disperse the crowds while some people launched bottles and traffic cones toward officers.

CHAOS ERUPTS

Michael Gillette, 31, was celebrating the Rams' Super Bowl success with his wife near LA Live.

He told the Los Angeles Times: “It’s a wild night. We are glad we are here.

“In L.A., we aren’t tearing things down, we are building things back.”

The LAPD has not yet announced any arrests.

The chaos unfolded after the Rams' 23-20 victory over the Bengals.

LA held a 13-10 lead at half-time before Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and special guest 50 Cent put on a stunning halftime show.

The hip-hop-themed event was the Super Bowl’s oldest ever as the combined age of stars was 286 years old.

Dre 56, opened the show alongside LA rapper Snoop Dogg, 50.

The rapper 50 Cent, 46, performed a version of his 2003 hit In Da Club while Mary J Blige, 51, wooed fans with her song Family Affair, which was produced by Dre.

Eminem took the knee during his performance – something that he wanted to do but NFL bosses wanted him to avoid, according to Puck.

Fans loved the halftime show as they took to Twitter to comment.

STAR-STUDDED LINEUP

One said: "That was the greatest Super Bowl halftime show. If you were born in the 80s and early 90s, this one was for your childhood.

"Music was just different back in those days. And better."

Prince Harry and his cousin Eugenie were among those who enjoyed the half-time entertainment – but his wife Meghan Markle was nowhere to be seen.

The game was also attended by a whole host of other celebs, including Kendall Jenner, Ryan Reynolds, LeBron James, Kevin Hart, Charlize Theron, Rebel Wilson, Ellen DeGeneres, as well as Justin and Hailey Bieber.

Kayne West was booed by some fans when his face appeared on the jumbotron during the first quarter of Sunday's game.

He was accused by fans of "wanting attention" after he wore a full face mask.
