It was cold enough to freeze a fish tank in some electricity-starved Texas homes, one mom revealed in a jaw-dropping video.

“Yo look at my daughter’s fish tank…Yeah that fish is dead,” Reni King, 25, from Amarillo can be heard sobbing in TikTik video she posted earlier this week.

Captioned “this is what it’s like living in Texas rn,” the video had been viewed more than 34.5 million times as of Thursday.

King later posted an update, saying her wife had placed a heater in the tank but that the fish didn’t make it. It’s lifeless body floating, belly-up, she said.

“Am I allowed to flush it now?” she asked on camera.
