The 'older women' rumoured to have taken Prince Harry's virginity

The ‘older women’ who were in the frame as likely candidates for taking Harry’s virginity –  before digger driver Sasha Walpole stepped forward to reveal herself

  • Mother-of-two Sasha Walpole has been revealed as the mystery woman in Spare
  • Prince Harry wrote in his book that he lost his virginity at 17 to an older woman
  • Before Ms Walpole’s reveal, other women were rumoured to be the horse-lover

The identity of the mystery horse-lover who had ‘passionate’ five-minute sex session with Prince Harry was revealed yesterday.

In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry detailed how he lost his virginity when discussing how a royal aide had paid him a visit to discuss a potential scandal.

The royal claimed he ‘mounted’ his mystery lover, an older horse-loving woman, behind a busy pub – thought to be the Rattlebone Inn in Wiltshire.

‘I mounted her quickly, after which she spanked my a** and sent me away. One of my many mistakes was letting it happen in a field, just behind a very busy pub. No doubt someone had seen us.’

And yesterday, the mystery horse-lover was revealed to be digger driver Sasha Walpole, 40, who had known the Prince since her days as a groom at the future King Charles’ Gloucestershire estate, Highgrove.

Mother-of-two Sasha Walpole (pictured with her digger) claims Harry kissed her after asking her if she wanted to go outside for a cigarette during her 19th birthday party back in 2001

The mother-of-two said: ‘We didn’t set out to do it – it wasn’t premeditated and I didn’t know he was a virgin. There were no virgin vibes – he seemed to know what he was doing.

‘It was quick, wild, exciting. We were both drunk. It wouldn’t have happened if we weren’t.’

Harry’s surprising account fuelled feverish rumours over who the mystery woman could be.

MailOnline reveals the women the world speculated it may be before Ms Walpole stepped forward…

Catherine Ommanney, 51

Rumours circulated that interior designer Catherine Ommanney, 51, was the horse-loving woman who ‘spanked’ Prince Harry after taking his virginity.

Ms Ommanney dated Harry when she was 34 and he was 21.

She denied being the woman in question, adding that he was ‘clearly’ an experienced lover by the time they got together in 2006.

His former lover said that she hated horses and she was ‘definitely not that girl in the field’.

The British reality star, who hit the small screen when she appeared in American reality TV show The Real Housewives of DC, met the prince in a bar in Chelsea in 2006, during which time he was in a long-term on-off relationship with socialite Chelsy Davy.

She says that after meeting in a bar, the pair then went to Eclipse nightclub in South Kensington together, before heading to one of his friend’s houses.

Catherine Ommanney said she did not believe she would be featured in Prince Harry’s biography

In January, Ms Ommanney said the Duke of Sussex ‘needed an older’ woman but ‘doesn’t know what he’s found in Meghan’.

She told Good Morning Britain: ‘We met at a dinner party and we had mutual friends in Australia we stayed with – that’s how we started talking.

‘He was surrounded by 20-year-olds…. I listened to him a lot, and I think that’s what he needed.

‘I’m not going to slander Meghan because I think she’s done a good enough job of it herself.

‘I don’t know what he’s found in Meghan… I’m really sad for him, I’m sad for the whole Royal Family because I don’t think he’s going to recover from this very quickly.’

Suzannah Harvey, 47

Former model Suzannah Harvey, 47, was another woman rumoured to be the horse-lover mentioned in Spare.

But she quashed speculation by posting a picture of herself on Instagram holding a packet of Ginger Nuts.

‘The only ones I’ve EVER touched,’ she wrote. ‘Believe zero of what you read.’

Harry was said to have hit on Ms Harvey, now the chief executive of Cotswold Airport, at the Beaufort Hunt Christmas Ball held in a marquee in the grounds of Badminton House in Gloucestershire.

She told the Mail at the time that the then-teenager, who was still a pupil at Eton, had showered her with compliments before leading her outside and across a muddy field.

‘I couldn’t believe it when he made a beeline for me,’ Ms Harvey, who was 23 years old, said at the time.

Ms Harvey, now the chief executive of Cotswold Airport, told The Daily Mail that Prince Harry’s memoir was not something she wished to discuss.

The pair enjoyed several intimate dances before sitting down together to drink champagne when Harry suggested they ‘get some air’. She said he ‘handled her like a grown man’.

‘It was very nice, but as we were kissing I started to get worried that his bodyguards would be looking for him. I didn’t want to get him into trouble,’ Miss Harvey said.

Ms Harvey said she had told Harry she was six years older than him but that did not seem to bother him.

She added that he had tried to take her behind a minibus but she was worried about ruining her £1,500 ball gown.

Liz Hurley, 57

It had been speculated that the ‘beautiful older woman’ Prince Harry lost his virginity to was Liz Hurley.

However, she was quick to deny being the mystery woman, speaking out before the memoir Spare was even released.

The 57-year-old actor was asked about the rumour during an interview with the Saturday Times magazine in December.

When asked about whether the rumour that it was her was true, Ms Hurley replied: ‘Not me. Not guilty. Ha!’.

She then added: ‘No. Not me. Absolutely not’.

The incident referred to in Harry’s book could have happened at the Rattlebone Inn, near King Charles’ Highgrove home

Emma Wood née Tomlinson, 48

Emma Wood née Tomlinson, an equine vet and polo coach ten years Prince Harry’s senior, was also in the frame.

The now married 48-year-old has known Harry for decades because her family were neighbours and good friends with his father Charles at his Highgrove estate.

The Tomlinsons ran the nearby Beaufort Polo Club where her late mother Claire, one of the world’s best female players, coached Harry and his brother William.

Harry, who spent some of his gap year on the family’s ranch in Argentina, was also close with her brothers Luke and Mark Tomlinson who were invited to his wedding.

Mrs Wood and her brothers were part of the princes’ tightknit group of friends known as Club H – not H after Harry but because of their gatherings at Highgrove House.

One source on the Beaufort Polo Club scene, who knew Mrs Wood well, said: ‘She was very thick with the royals and the princes in particular. They were always out as part of a social group having some serious fun all the time.’

The source added: ‘She has an attractive personality – flirtatious, lively. She is a country girl and doesn’t get too hung up about these things.’

Mrs Wood, who was in her late 20s at the time, and the teenaged Harry were said to have been seen drinking together at the 17th century pub frequently around that time.
