THE Sun is officially Britain's number 1 newsbrand – and we owe it all to you.
Newly-released figures from PAMCo, which provides audience data for publishers, show The Sun reaches a whopping 28.4 million people a month across print and digital.
The latest stats put us well ahead of the Daily Mirror and the Daily Mail – and show how much you – our readers – trust us with your time every single day.
It comes after 18 months of world-beating exclusives and vitally important campaigning by The Sun's dedicated round-the-clock team.
During this period we broke agenda-setting exclusives including Matt Hancock's affair with his aide – which got the whole country talking.
And we launched our groundbreaking Jabs Army campaign which recruited more than 66,000 volunteers who kindly gave more than ONE MILLION hours of their time to the NHS to help fight the pandemic.
'REMARKABLE'
The Sun’s Euro’s coverage was also second-to-none, led by special SunSport columnist Jose Mourinho.
Victoria Newton, editor in chief of The Sun, said: "I'm thrilled to see The Sun is the number one newsbrand in Britain.
"In a truly remarkable 18 months for the news agenda, we have been working hard to bring our readers the news as well as transforming our newsroom into a digital-first operation – which today’s figures prove has been a huge success.
"In an era of mistruths, The Sun brings our readers a unique mix of everything from agenda-setting world exclusives, massive entertainment stories, big opinions, the best sporting news, and serious public service journalism every day – all with a smile!"
Thank you to all our loyal readers for coming back to us time and time again in print and online for the best breaking news, exclusives, great writing and, most of all, fun.
