TRIBUTES have been paid to a "fun-loving" personal trainer who drowned during the July heatwave.
The family of Adam Dodd, who died after getting into difficulty in the sea near St Anne's Pier in Lancashire, said "he had everything to look forward to".
The 19-year-old was rescued from the water and rushed to Blackpool Victoria Hospital at around 7.20pm on July 23.
He sadly died a short time later.
His heartbroken family have paid tribute to "determined and ambitious" Adam who had "just started his career", LancsLive reports.
They said in a statement: "As a family we are truly devastated at the loss of Adam.
"Adam was a fun loving person who enjoyed life to the maximum.
"He was positive determined and ambitious.
"He had just started his career as PT instructor and had everything to look forward to.
"At this time we would respectfully ask for our privacy so that we can grieve as a family."
'FUN-LOVING' LAD
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said his death is not being treated as suspicious.
They added: "A file has been prepared for the coroner.
"Our thoughts remain with Adam's loved ones at this sad time."
It follows the death of another 19-year-old who drowned in a river during last week's warm weather.
Talented rugby player Ben Marklew was swimming in the River Wharfe in Grassington, North Yorkshire, last Thursday as temperatures hit 28C.
His heartbroken family said the lifelong Bradford City FC fan "left a lasting impression on everyone".
And in Dorset, Callum Osborne-Ward is feared to have drowned after reportedly trying to rescue ten children that became caught up in a riptide.
The 18-year-old has not been seen since he entered the water at Rockley Point in Poole Harbour, on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services have urged people to be cautious while swimming during the extreme temperatures after at least 22 people drowned last week.
