TRUMP'S ex CFO will flip putting the former President in legal jeopardy, his former daughter -in- law has predicted.
During an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, Jennifer Weisselberg spoke about the criminal tax investigation into her ex-father-in-law Allen Weisselberg, the chief financial officer of the Trump Organization.
When asked by Burnett whether Allen Weisselberg would flip on Trump she simply replied "yes."
"Wow, no hesitation at all with your answer there," Burnett replied.
"Because I think the truth matters, and it’s become so much bigger," sheresponded.
"I’m not motivated by money; I’m not motivated by the post-judgment divorce situation that they started.
"When they start civil cases to cover up their own crimes. I have no motivation.
"I get nothing out of this, but I think the truth matters, and it’s so horrifying to think that Donald Trump could be president again, knowing what I know."
"I’m not afraid to tell the truth, you know, and I respect the D.A.’s investigation. It is serious.
"And it continues to be finite. Numbers are finite, you know? They always are.
"And there needs to be accountability."
She also added that Trump had paid for her child’s private school tuition.
Earlier this week it was revealed that the Attorney General's office is looking into Weisselberg's personal taxes, less than a day after the Office said it is launching an "active criminal investigation" into the Trump Organization.
The investigation will collaborate with the Manhattan DA's ongoing probe into Trump's "possibly extensive and protracted criminal conduct."
Weisselberg handled the Trump Organization's finances for 40 years and took over the company jointly with Eric and Donald Jr. during their father's term in the White House.
The Trump Organization CFO has a long history with the former president and was involved in managing the Trump family fortune.
Meanwhile, Trump branded the investigation a "witch hunt" and said Attorney General Letitia James should focus on "real crime."
In a statement, he said: "There is nothing more corrupt than an investigation that is in desperate search of a crime. But make no mistake, that is exactly what is happening here.
"The Attorney General of New York literally campaigned on prosecuting Donald Trump even before she knew anything about me."
It comes as Palm Beach County’s top prosecutor, State Attorney Dave Aronberg, said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis can’t prevent Trump from being extradited to New York City if he is indicted.
Speaking to CNN Newsroom, Aronberg said even DeSantis would only be able to delay Trump’s extradition, not stop it completely.
“The governor's power to stop an extradition is really nonexistent," he said.
"He can try to delay it, he can send it to a committee and do research about it, but his role is really ministerial, and ultimately the state of New York can go to court and get an order to extradite the former president. But DeSantis could delay matters."
