Two Colorado holiday markets cracked a USA Today nationwide top-10 list this year, one in Denver and the other in Georgetown.
The Denver Christkindlmarket ranks No. 5 in the Best Holiday Market USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice and the Georgetown Christmas Market came in at No. 7.
The United Airlines Denver Christkindlmarket presented by Bank of America has one week remaining in its award-winning 2021 run.
“We are delighted to receive this recognition,” said Samantha Tillner, executive director of the German American Chamber of Commerce – Colorado Chapter, in a news release. “We are proud of the international holiday experience we have been able to create in the heart of Denver and the role we have played in adding to (the) attraction of Denver as a holiday destination.”
The Denver Christkindlmarket runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Thursday in Civic Center, 101 West 14th Ave.
The annual Georgetown Christmas Market was held on Dec. 11 and 12 this year.
A panel of experts partnered with 10Best editors to pick the initial nominees in the nationwide contest, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.
The Carmel Christkindlmarkt, in Carmel, Ind., took the number one spot.
