Two pedestrians, one in Castle Rock and one in Denver, died overnight when hit by vehicles on Interstate 25, authorities said.
A woman was hit by three vehicles in the northbound lanes of I-25 at about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday on the southside of Castle Rock, said Trooper Josh Lewis, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman.
The woman was clipped by the mirror of a 2018 Ford SUV when that driver tried to avoid the pedestrian, Lewis said. The woman fell and was then hit by two more vehicles. She died at the scene. All the drivers remained on the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
