Weather forecasters have warned that the UK's cold snap could last into April with the "return of snow" possibly around the corner.
The country was plunged into Arctic conditions earlier this month and finally seems to be through the worst of it, with no more Met Office weather warnings in place at the moment.
Snow and ice meant the mercury dropped below freezing at times and temperatures were generally below average for this time of year.

There are now concerns that this trend could continue into next month too.
Exacta Weather forecaster James Madden has warned that, although the coming days will see some "temporary" milder conditions, projections show there will be "variations from cold or very cold, to less cold at times" as March moves into April.
He said: "As we head into the latter part of next week we will once again see the theme switching back to these cooler conditions, and snow will once again start returning from in and around this period too.
"In addition to this; we are also at risk of some further bouts of cold northerly and potential easterly winds developing at times well into April on our current indications, and up to around the second or third week of the month."
Netweather forecaster Ian Simpson said the start of next month will be "predominantly dry and settled", albeit chilly.
His forecast for April 3 to April 11 reads: "It is again likely to be on the cold side, especially by night, especially early in the period.
"But there is potential for high pressure to become centred to the south and east of Britain later in the period, resulting in warmer temperatures.
"Overall, it is forecast to be drier than average, sunnier than average away from eastern England, and probably still colder than average."
In his outlook for March 27 to April 2, Simpson noted how temperatures are likely to be 2C cooler than average in most parts of the country.
"With low pressure over Scandinavia, it looks likely that northerly winds will blow more frequently than usual, resulting in below average temperatures for much of the week," he said.
