UK weather forecast – Snow warning issued as 4inch of flurries hit TOMORROW with Brits bracing -2C Spring deep freeze

A SNOW warning has been issued for tomorrow as Brits brace for frosty -2C weather.

Parts of the UK could be facing up to four inches of snow as April's freezing cold conditions show no sign of letting up.

It comes after forecasters predicted Scotland, northern parts of England and the Midlands to be hit by the white stuff from Wednesday.

But now the sub-zero weather is due to hit even earlier after a chilly start to the month.

The Met Office has issued a snow warning for Scotland affecting Aberdeen and Inverness from 4pm tomorrow until 11am on Wednesday with up to 4 inches settling on higher ground.

A Met Office statement said: "Snow may cause some disruption across parts of Scotland later Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday.

"Persistent rain over northern Scotland will increasingly turn to snow over high ground during Tuesday, then perhaps to lower levels in the afternoon and evening.

"This is likely to bring some accumulations above 100-200m with 3-7cm in places and perhaps 10cm above 300m."

Later this week, overnight temperatures could again drop below 0C.

According to the Met Office's five-day forecast, snow will fall across Scotland on Wednesday before moving southwards.
