BRITAIN is set for another spring scorcher this weekend – with baking temperatures set to make it hotter than Madrid.
Temperatures on Saturday and Sunday won't reach 23C as felt on Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
But according to the BBC, London is predicted to see heat of 17Cmaking the capital one degree warmer than the Spanish capital Madrid which is forecast to see temperatures of 16C Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Met Office has also confirmed Saturday and Sunday will see “sunny spells and scattered showers” in the east and south.
It added that conditions will be "breezy through the weekend" but it will be "rather warm in the south and west, but colder by Monday".
But the warm spell won't last for long, with the mercury forecast to plunge to -3C next week.
Met Office forecaster Tom Morgan told the Express that "some rural spots" could even see lows of -3C in overnight frosts during the first part of next week.
Londoners can expects temperatures to drop to as low as 4C, while those in Scotland, parts of Belfast and across parts of northern England may see experience freezing conditions.

British Weather Services meteorologist Jim Dale agreed that next week will be a chilly one, and claimed that some Brits may even be in for a late smattering of the white stuff.
He said: “It is going to feel cooler and there will be the risk of frosts overnight.

PARTS of the UK could plunge to sub-zero temperatures as early as next week just days after Brits were blessed with the hottest day of the year so far.

Advanced weather modelling maps show that the UK could be in for some shock flurries of snow at the start of next month.
The first band of snow will sweep in across the north of Scotland late on Friday April 29, before moving down the north-east coast of England on Saturday, April 30.
May then begins with widespread snow across the United Kingdom, with flakes falling in the south of England and Wales on Sunday and Monday, May 1-2.
Snow will hit Scotland in the early hours of May 1, starting in Inverness, Aberdeen and Edinburgh before slowly moving southward throughout the day.
Newcastle, Manchester and Birmingham could follow with millions of Brits in northern and central England set to see some of the white stuff.
Unfortunately, the potential dumping is too far away for the forecaster to predict exactly how many inches we can expect to settle on the ground.

The Met Office's, Claire Nasir, continued to say: “So through the weekend, we really are chasing clouds. Those clouds will be lower misty across the north as well as the east, particularly along the coast.
“Cloudiness further south across England and Wales. But there will be some holes in the clouds allowing some sunshine.”
The weather expert has suggested that over sheltered parts of the West, and South Wales, temperatures may reach 18C or locally 19C, but 14C to 16C will be a more general maximum.
But in eastern areas, a North East wind will be quite brisk, bringing chilly temperatures of around 8C or 9C.

Brits can expect a breezy weekend as the Met Office forecasts murky conditions, but with temperatures expected to hover around 12-13C throughout.
Claire Nasir, a meteorologist with the Met Office said: “We do have a relentless easterly wind over the next few days delivering more cloud from time to time and some lower temperatures are going to feel cold in that breeze.
“Overnight tonight, you can see clouds rolling in the central parts of the Scotland, border regions, northumberland.
“Another batch of clouds through the early hours of Friday morning moves across East Anglia, the midlands, central southern England.
“Many areas will be dry but some murky conditions across the far north of Scotland.
“Lowest temperatures will be the Glens of Scotland . But certainly, a windy start to the day across most parts. Gusty over the hills.
“Through the morning on Friday, any cloud will tend to fade across Scotland and northern England whereas towards the south we will see a little bit of showery rain as the clouds move towards the more western areas.
“Brightest skies in mid wales, the midlands northwards, and that’s where we see the high temperatures, particularly towards the West in shelter and in cool along the East coast."

Earthworms invade home in Thailand after mad rain
RESIDENTS in a village in Thailand saw their homes completely covered in earthworms as heavy thunderstorms moved through the region.
A video shot in Tak, lower northern Thailand, shows residents waking up to a scene straight out of a horror movie as roughly 6-inch-long earthworms crawled around the province.
AccuWeather Meteorologist Renee Duff said that in a 24-hour period prior to when the video was shot, Tak picked up "3.13 inches (79.6 mm) of rainfall as heavy thunderstorms moved through the region."
