Much of the East Coast in the States is facing treacherous chills and is coated in snow from a blizzard which brought record snowfall. It broke snowfall records in parts of Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Across the Northeast, around 16 million people were under various winter weather alerts Saturday night.
Seven million of these were under blizzard warnings.
The National Weather Service Middle Atlantic River Forecast Centre tweeted Sunday: “An East Coast blizzard dropped one to over two feet of snow along the coast.
“Now, cold weather will hold a grip on the Mid-Atlantic today and tonight.”

In Massachusetts, the strong gales knocked down power lines, causing 88,000 outages in the state late Saturday, according to PowerOutage.us.
Many areas saw a record amount of snowfall, including Central Park in New York which saw 7.3 inches on Saturday, beating the previous record for January 29 of 4.7 inches set in 1904.
Meanwhile, Atlantic City, New Jersey, crushed its January snowfall record by Saturday, reaching a monthly total of 33.2 inches of snow.
However, while the freezing weather in the East Coast has caused travel chaos, forecasters in South Florida have warned of “tumbling” iguanas due to the sub-zero temperatures.

Brian Shields, a meteorologist at WFTV in Orlando, warned iguanas can slow down and become immobile when temperatures drop below 40F (4C).
As they slow down, the reptile can fall from trees onto the ground.
Mr Shields tweeted: “Falling iguanas possible this weekend — especially Saturday night!”
The Weather Prediction Centre revealed: “Much of the state will remain mostly clear and frigid tonight with the chance for scattered to isolated falling iguanas from trees due to subfreezing temperatures that may temporarily paralyse them.
“Some of our iguana friends down there go dormant in such conditions and could take a tumble.”
