Noel Gallagher has had his first Covid-19 jab despite being a vaccine sceptic and previously refusing to wear a face mask.
The ex-Oasis guitarist, 54, revealed that he had initially declined an appointment but said doctors convinced him to go ahead after saying he would be a ‘fool’ not to.
Noel told the Radio Times he received the jab at a Holiday Inn in Winchester where he asked vaccinators what he would feel like afterwards.
To which, one, who recognised the rocker, responded: ‘Mr Gallagher, I suspect you had worse hangovers in the 90s.’
Noel told the publication about the conversation he had with his doctor who asked why he would not have the vaccine and what he was worried about.
‘I said: “Being honest, hair loss,”‘ the star continued.
‘[The doctor] said: “But there is no evidence to suggest there will be any hair loss.”‘
Noel said he then asked: ‘”So you’re saying I should take it?” And he said: “No, I’m saying, if you don’t take it, you’re a fool.”‘
Despite getting jabbed, the former frontman added: ‘I will say it’s a human right to decline it and the people who are virtue signalling, [with] their lofty wagging their finger at people who are declining it, can eff off.’
It comes just months after, during a new interview on The Matt Morgan podcast, Noel said he would not be wearing a face mask.
He explained: ‘Listen to me, it’s not a law. There’s too many f***** liberties being taken away from us now.’

The Oasis star recalled a time he requested to speak to a shop manager when an employee asked him to don a protective mask.
‘I don’t give a f**k. I choose not to wear one and if I get the virus it’s on me, it’s not on anyone else. If every other c***s wearing a mask I’m not gonna catch it off them, and If I’ve got it then they’re not gonna catch it off me. I think it’s a p***take’, he said.
Noel went on to reflect on another moment he went against the rules, explaining: ‘I was going up to Manchester the other week and some guy’s going “can you put your mask on, because the transport police will get on and fine you a thousand pounds. But you don’t have to put it on if you’re eating.”
‘So I was saying “Oh right, this killer virus that’s sweeping through the train is gonna come and attack me but see me having a sandwich and go leave him, he’s having his lunch?”’
The UK has now dished out more than 39.3 million first doses and and 25.5 million second doses of the Covid vaccination.
