VIDEO: Glasgow removal truck hits two cars while trying to park

Time to move… out of the way! Moment blundering removals driver hits TWO stationary cars as he tries to park van

  • The Quick Moves removals van crashed into two parked cars late last month
  • CCTV footage shows the driver attempt to park in an impossible gap
  • Instead of turning around and reversing from the other side, the driver crashed

This is the astonishing moment a home removal driver bumped into two stationary cars while trying to pull up outside a house in Glasgow.

CCTV footage shows how the driver of the Mercedes Sprinter box van tried to reverse into a tight spot despite a car blocking his swing on the opposite side of the road.

The driver edges backwards until he strikes a Citroen which had been left in a parking bay outside the owner’s house.

The Quick Moves Mercedes Sprinter van was attempting to reverse into a parking space, but was blocked by a white car across from his intended destination

Instead of turning around and reversing in from the other direction, he tried to squeeze between the two cars in Glasgow on January 15

After hitting the grey Citroen, right, the car’s owner came out and moved her vehicle out of the way

The Citroen’s owner is shown racing from their home to inspect the damage before they move their car further down the street.

Despite the extra space, the removals driver manages to strike a second car, this time with the front of his van as he reversed back into the space.

The van then finally manages to park before the owner of the white car comes out to inspect the damage on her car.

Kaitlyn Curly shared the video to TikTok on January 15, writing: ‘Quick Move off the road before you get hit.’

MailOnline has approached Quick Moves for a comment.

Even after the first owner moved her car, the removals driver crashed into the second car as they were determined to get into the space no matter what

After getting into the space, the driver was forced to talk to the owner of the second damaged car

This is not the first time a truck driver has caused trouble when trying to park.

In March 2018 a Yodel delivery driver scraped their van alongside the side of a customer’s parked car.

After grinding alongside the side of the parked vehicle and knocking their own alloy off, the delivery driver left the scene and failed to report the incident.

In November 2020 a DPD, a blundering DPD driver continuously reversed into a parked car for around 40 seconds before driving away.
