VLADIMIR Putin will showcase his fearsome "robot army" at a huge military parade in Moscow's Red Square next week.
It will feature the unmanned Uran-9 which is capable of destroying NATO tanks, the Uran-6 mine clearance vehicle and Russia's first short-range drone.
Meanwhile the state-of-the-art Su-57 stealth fighter, fresh from war trials in Syria, will fly over the Russian capital.
The Uran-9 combat vehicle, also tested in Syria, is said to be capable of ambushing and destroying NATO tanks in the battlefield.
It is armed with a 30mm 2A72 automatic cannon, machine gun, flamethrowers and the Ataka anti-tank guided missile launcher.
The 12-tonne armoured vehicle is designed for reconnaissance, fire support and attacking other tanks.
It can strike targets at a distance of up to 16,000ft in the day and 9,850ft at night.
For the first time, Russia's Su-57, Su-30SM and MiG-29SMT fighter jets will fly over the capital as Russians celebrate the allies' victory over the Nazis in World War II.
The single-seat Su-57 is fitted with a revolutionary computer system which helps the pilot by analysing "battlefield dynamics".
It is also equipped with a futuristic radar which allows it to "see" air, ground and naval targets at distances far beyond most modern systems.
The jet, expected to be in full service next year, will be equipped with an array of weapons including air-to-air, air-to-ground and special anti-radar missiles.
The unmanned mine clearing Uran-6 vehicle and Korsar drone will also be rolled out at the parade.
Russia's defence minister, Sergei Shoigu, recently promised to fast-track the automation of Russia's military machine.
Asked whether the soldier's role would change in the future, as wars are increasingly fought with remote-controlled weaponry, he replied: "Why near future?
"This is already a reality and being realised quite energetically."
Shoigu said Russia now has around 1,800 unmanned aerial vehicles, compared to 160 a few years ago.
He added: "We have begun creating combat robots. Their state and army tests are nearing completion.
I hope we will begin [their] serial production as early as this year."
Shoigu said the production of mine-clearing robots has already been completed.

The machine is fitted with a machine gun and can traverse any kind of snow at speeds of up to 37mph.
