Apprentice jockey Hannah Fitzgerald is in an induced coma at Royal Perth Hospital after coming off her horse during a Kalgoorlie race on Saturday.
Ms Fitzgerald won race six of the meet aboard short-odds horse Neurologic when she became dislodged from the saddle.

She was rushed to Kalgoorlie Hospital and later flown to Perth for urgent treatment, where she remains in a stable condition.
Racing and Wagering WA posted a Facebook message that it was supporting Ms Fitzgerald’s family.
“Our thoughts are with Hannah and her family during this difficult time. Hannah’s parents are with her and we will continue to provide support any way we can,” they said.
“The safety and wellbeing of our racing participants is our highest priority, and a thorough investigation into the incident is underway.
“We would like to extend our appreciation to those people on-course who assisted Hannah.
“We will continue to provide updates on Hannah’s condition where possible.”
Ms Fitzgerald had her first win aboard Jupiters Sun at the Carnarvon racetrack in June last year, followed by 30 more wins and 65 places from 344 starts.
She was due to ride Blazing Tycoon at Narrogin on Sunday, with two more rides scheduled at Perth’s Ascot racecourse on Tuesday – a showcase event for the biggest day in the nation’s racing calendar, the Melbourne Cup.
