THIS is the shocking moment a speeding motorist takes a shortcut over a patch of grass to dodge a queue of stationary traffic.
The astonishing footage shows the speedy black Vauxhall tearing down the middle of a suburban road before he’s brought to a halt by cars waiting on a bend.
He then cuts the corner by tearing across patch of green – rejoining the road at the head of the tailback
Gary Unwin filmed the 40-second clip in Leigh, Gtr Manchester, earlier this month on his dashcam.
Gary, from Leigh said: "He flew past us like we were stood still, he must have been doing 90-100mph.
"It's a 30mph zone which drops down to 20mph during school hours. I said to my partner at the time 'where the hell did that come from?'
"That stretch of road is known for people speeding. He came past so quickly stones were flying off the road and they hit the car."

Gary blasted his horn as the car flew past him and claims the driver retaliated by flicking the v sign before screeching to a halt behind the queuing traffic.
Gary's partner Lynda Peers, 49, can be heard in the footage gasping loudly as he makes the rogue manoeuvre saying 'what is he doing? I think that car's stolen'.
The dad of two said that when the driver lurched left towards the grass popular with dog walkers and pupils from the nearby school he feared the worst and that he was pulling over to retaliate for beeping his horn.
Gary said: "My first thought was that he was pulling over to have a go at me after I blew my horn and flashed my lights at him.
"I wasn't so much concerned that he'd hit me as he flew past, I was more worried about people turning on to the road from side streets – they wouldn't be expecting someone to come flying down.
"I was also bothered about pedestrians crossing the road."
Gary added: "It's miraculous that no-one was hurt the way he was driving."
Gary reported the incident to Greater Manchester Police.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said no arrests have been made.
