A LITTLE dog is unrecognisable after having his mega-matted fur shaved off.
The little terrier-type pup was "left for months" with matted fur but thanks to the RSPCA stepping in he has had a complete makeover.
The shaggy dog was found in a sorry state with a mass of matted fur covering its face, body and feet during an inspection by RSPCA workers.
And shockingly after receiving a full shave, the once straggly pooch shrunk dramatically in size.
An RSPCA spokesperson for south-east England said: "His owners worked with us to get him the help that he needed and after a good clip, he looked like a completely different dog!
"He will now be feeling a lot more comfortable and happier.

Thanks to the cooperation of his owners he was able to return home with them.
Quite often owners are surprised with the results when they take their beloved pet to the groomers.
One animal lover was left horrified when she took her dog for a trim, saying that he came back looking like a raw chicken.
Another pet owner took the family dog to the groomer and said that her children did not recognise the Goldendoodle when he returned "a totally different dog".
One woman compared her dog to a dragon from The NeverEnding Story, when her pet returned from having a trim.
