A Level 2 snow emergency is characterized by hazardous roadways and drifting snow.

What is a level 2 snow emergency?

Level 2 snow emergencies consist of

  • Incredibly icy roads
  • Blowing snow
  • Impaired vision from drifting snow

During these weather advisories, meteorologists reiterate that people should not drive.

If a motorist decides to drive, it should be only because they have to.

Instances where a person has to drive include work and emergencies.

In these extreme bouts of weather, one should contact their employer and inquire if it's absolutely necessary to attend work in person.

If the answer is yes, motorists have to drive with extreme caution.

What are level 1 and 3 snow emergencies?

A level 1 snow emergency, per Ohio’s weather safety guidelines, means that snow is blowing and drifting across roads, posing a hazard to those using them.

Those who travel on the roads run the risk of being arrested.

To find out if they should report to work, all workers should contact their employers.
