What is Joe Biden's 2024 presidential campaign platform? | The Sun

JOE Biden has spent the majority of his presidency fighting for student loan debt relief and gun control.

In 2023, he announced his reelection campaign to continue the fight, and now voters want to know more about his plans for the future.

What is Joe Biden's 2024 presidential campaign platform?

Biden will be running for reelection in 2024 alongside his vice president, Kamala Harris.

In his campaign, he is looking to continue the efforts he has made so far during his presidency.

"Freedom, personal freedom is fundamental to who we are as Americans. There is nothing more important. There is nothing more sacred," Biden said in his campaign video.

"That has been the work of my first term, to fight for our democracy, to protect our rights, to make sure that everyone in this country is treated equally and that everyone is given a fair shot at making it.

"But you know, around the country, MAGA extremists are lining up to take down those bedrock freedoms," Biden continued.

" [They're] cutting social security that you've paid for your entire life while cutting taxes for the very wealthy. Dictating what healthcare decisions women are able to make, banning books, and telling people who they can love, all while making it more difficult for you to vote.

"When I ran for president four years ago, I said we were in a battle for the soul of America, and we still are… That's why I'm running for reelection."

Since assuming office, Biden has passed major legislation on climate change, economic relief, and infrastructure, while continuing his push for student loan debt relief, despite the Republican's objections.

How much money has Biden's campaign raised so far?

Since launching his reelection campaign, Biden has been able to attract big donors from all walks of life.

Among those donors are Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn's co-founder, Jeffrey Katzenberg, DreamWorks' co-founder, Charles Myers, Signum Global Advisors' founder, and Haim Saban, a media proprietor, according to CNBC.

In an email to the outlet, Saban said that he “will do all I can to have President Biden reelected for a well deserved second term.”

Saban was among Biden's donors in his first presidential election and was able to help him raise millions, according to CNBC.

Not much is known about his current campaign funds, but in 2020, he raised more than $1billion.

Katzenberg, who serves as a co-chair on Biden's campaign, told CNBC that he thinks the President will be able to raise more this time around.

“I’ve emphasized what he has accomplished and his leadership, and how essential it is in this moment in time for him to, one more time, saddle up and go do this,” Katzenberg said.

Myers had similar views on Biden's reelection campaign, telling CNBC that a "Trump 2.0" would be "devastating."

"Stakes are higher than ever. Trump 2.0 would be devastating for the country and arguably the world," Myers added.

Who are the other Democratic candidates running against Biden?

In recent months, a dozen Republican candidates have entered the 2024 race, including former president Donald Trump, former vice president Mike Pence, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, but the same cannot be said about the Democrats.
