THE shocking death of headteacher Emma Pattison and her family left pupils of Epsom college stunned.
Whilst the investigation goes on, the school continues to provide education for its students. Here's what we know about acting headteacher, Paul Williams.
Who is Paul Williams?
Paul Williams was appointed acting headteacher of Epsom College, following the sudden death of Emma Pattison on January 5, 2023.
According to the college website, he has a Bachelor degree in science, which he achieved at Durham university.
Dunelm is the name of the University's alumni community. It comes from Dunelmensis, the Latin word for 'of or from Durham' and is the name of your degree.
What happened to Emma Pattison?
On February 5, 2023, Pattison was found dead by police,alongside her husband George and seven year old daughter Lettie.

Pattison was appointed the school’s first-ever female head in September 2022.
This was after six years as headteacher of Croydon High School from 2016 to 2022.
Police believe this is an isolated incident with no third-party involvement.
She has been described as a "wonderful teacher" and "delightful" person.

Dr Alastair Wells, Chair of the Board of Governors at Epsom College, said: “On behalf of everyone at Epsom College, I want to convey our utter shock and disbelief at this tragic news.
"Our immediate thoughts and condolences are with Emma’s family, friends and loved ones, and to the many pupils and colleagues whose lives she enriched throughout her distinguished career.
Pattison's husband George was a chartered accountant, who was working with management consultancy firm Tanglewood 2016 until his death, according to Companies House.
Her last social media post saw her celebrate a prestigious award won by school shortly after she took the helm.
She revealed to pupils in December that the family had bought a Labrador, named Bella, to live with them within the school grounds.
How much does it cost to attend Epsom College?
It costs £42,000 a year for students to attend Epsom College.
Over 850 boys and girls attend the school, which was founded in 1855.
