What is the Victoria's Secret: Angels and Demons documentary?
The Hulu documentary Victoria's Secret: Angels and Demons, focuses on the relationship between Epstein and Wexner, revealing how much access the billionaire had to Wexner's businesses and dealings.
The documentary lays claim to Wexner's inner ties to Epstein, with one interviewee claiming, "There wasn't a part of Wexner's company that Epstein didn't have access to."
Victoria's Secret: Angels and Demons reveals the extent to which Epstein had access to Wexner's wealth, cemented by Epstein being granted Power of Attorney.
This enabled Epstein to sign off on checks and make business decisions on behalf of Wexner.
Interview subjects in the documentary expressed their confusion over how Epstein was able to obtain that level of access to Wexner's finances.
Wexner wrote in a letter to the Wexner Foundation that Epstein had "misappropriated vast sums of money" from him, amounting to $46million, The Daily Beast reported.
In the documentary, Sarah Ellison, a Washington Post reporter. said over the course of Epstein and Wexner's relationship, she estimates that Wexner had paid Epstein about $400million.
Ellison questioned Wexner's claims in the film, and asked, “Wexner is known as being litigious, and yet he won’t pursue Epstein for stealing millions upon millions of dollars?”
She continues, “To allow that level of betrayal and dishonesty to happen unpunished is entirely unexplained.”
The director of Victoria’s Secret: Angels and Demons., Matt Tyrnauer told The Daily Beast, “I think there are three great con men of the last hundred years: Roy Cohn, the subject of a previous film of mine; his mentee, Donald Trump; and Epstein.
He added, “The con was so epic and went down right under everyone’s nose.”
