DANGEROUS sex offender has escaped from prison in the Lincolnshire area, police have warned.

Paul Robson is dangerous and could be anywhere in the UK by now – here's why he was jailed.

Who is Paul Robson?

Paul Robson is a convicted sex offender, jailed for life in 2000 for attempted rape and indecent assault.

On the morning of February 13, 2022, Robson was reported missing from HMP North Sea Camp in Boston, Lincolnshire, where he was serving his life sentence.

People have been urged not to approach Robson, who is described as a white male with a bald head, a long goatee beard and is of a slim build.

The 56-year-old was labelled a "menace to females" at the sentencing at Oxford Crown Court.

He had been in and out of prison for a lifetime of attacks on women and girls as young as eight-years-old before being slapped with a life sentence.

The court heard that, while out on licence from a five-year jail term, he crawled into a woman's Oxford city centre home through a cat flap.

Robson then subjected the terrified 23-year-old to a series of attacks, while holding a knife to her throat.

Oxford Mail reports that he had earlier fled his bail hostel in Abingdon Road in Oxford, after a punch-up with another offender in the home.

Has Paul Robson escaped prison?

Paul Robson was reported missing from prison just before 7am on Sunday, February 13, 2022.

Detective Chief Superintendent Andy Cox, of Lincolnshire Police, said: “We are urgently seeking the help of the public to find Paul Robson, who absconded from HMP North Sea Camp this morning.

"This man is a convicted rapist, serving a life sentence and is extremely dangerous.

"I believe he poses a real risk of causing significant harm to members of the community."

Where is Paul Robson?

Police initially thought Robson had remained in the Boston area, but have since warned that he could be "anywhere in the country".

Detective Andy Cox continued: “Whilst he absconded from a prison in Lincolnshire, by now he may be anywhere in the country and as such, I encourage communities around the country to be mindful of this appeal.

"Since reports of his escape came to light, we have deployed additional resources to apprehend Robson.

"If you have any information as to his current whereabouts, please get in contact.

"If you do find him, please do not approach him, or try to apprehend him yourself, but instead call us on 999. Thank you.”
