Why is Roblox not working?

ROBLOX went down on October 29, 2021, according to claims on social media sites.

The popular online gaming platform was released in 2006 and allows users to play games designed by other users.

Is Roblox down?

Roblox is said to have gone down at around 4am IST on October 29, 2021, if Twitter posts are correct.

A message from the Roblox Status account said: "Looks like #Roblox is currently experiencing issues! We'll update you if we receive any further information. Services impacted: Games & Account Information."

According to Republic World, engineers have not yet been able to identify the cause of the problem.

Currently, there has been no word from the official Roblox Twitter account.

The investigation team is said to be aware of the situation which is affecting millions of players around the world.

Player count on the platform is said to have decreased from over three million before the outage began to less than a million due to the outage.

What was wrong with Roblox?

Downdetector has also been reporting issues with the site.

There are many reasons why Roblox could have been experiencing technical difficulties, most likely due to maintenance or bug fixes.

According to Downdetector, there were 28,104 Roblox outage reports.

Out of which, 55 per cent were regarding issues with the website, 32 per cent were regarding issues with login, and 12 per cent were regarding server connection issues. 

While no official reason has been given for the outage, users say the company has not upgraded their servers.

A number of users have claimed that the website went down due to a free burrito coupon being given in collaboration with Chipotle Mexican Grill.
