A daredevil fisherman captures the moment he springs towards a hammerhead shark in shallow waters.
West Australian YouTuber Brodie Moss this week shared a video of himself wading through shallow waters after the mega shark as it aggressively circles about him.
The predator’s fin spikes out of the water nearby as Mr Moss excitedly yells: ‘Here it comes. It’s come right at me, woohoo!’

The man-eater then suddenly changes course and torpedoes towards him and then encircles him.
Unharmed, Mr Moss is then seen chasing the shark as it swims away.
‘At this time and this tide those big hammerheads come in and hunt the turtles and rays,’ he explains.
‘He got a little bit confused with what I was but when he figured it out he was out of there.’
With four million followers on Tiktok, the video has already received 1,300 comments on since posted.
‘Shark be like, ‘why he chasing me for, that’s my job,’ one user wrote.
‘Iconic Aussie…’it’s coming right at me’ – also running toward it,’ another user commented.

Mr Moss and his crew have garnered over three million subscribers on their YouTube channel Youngbloods Spearfishing.
Their videos centre on enjoying the ocean – swimming, snorkelling, and fishing, whilst interacting with various marine life off Western Australia’s coastline.
It is Mr Moss’s enthusiastic approach to Australian marine life that has users likening him to the late Australian icon, Steve Irwin.
‘Serious Steve Irwin vibes!’ a Tiktok user commented.
‘Steve Irwin was a legend…Brodie? I think we can mention them in the same breath,’ one Youtuber wrote.
Found in temperate and tropical waters worldwide, the hammerhead shark can grow up to six meters in length and weigh over 450 kilograms, though smaller sizes are more common.
According to the International Shark File, there has been 17 unprovoked hammerhead shark attacks since 1580 with no human fatalities recorded.
