William gets ‘old-fashioned revenge’ on Harry with Frogmore Cottage eviction

Prince William is said to have carried out some "good old-fashioned revenge" on Prince Harry with his brother's eviction from Frogmore Cottage.

The Duke of Sussex and wife Meghan Markle found themselves booted out of their Windsor property as confirmed last week by a representative.

But experts have since alleged that it was the Prince of Wales who orchestrated the eviction plans, as the future King of England wants the property for himself.

An "unhappy" Prince William could have been the man behind the eviction plans, Lady Victoria Hervey alleged, and royal expert Daniela Elser has since called the eviction "good old-fashioned revenge".

Writing in her column for news.com.au, expert Elser alleged that the eviction could have been "driven by a hard nosed focus on ensuring the royal family operates as leanly as possible".

Doing that, she says, was a way of countering "the image of the monarchy as bloated and chock full of freeloading cousins and twice-removed relatives enjoying cushy rental arrangements".

The "revelation of William's involvement" has prompted Elser to label the Frogmore eviction as "good old-fashioned revenge."

Daily Star previously reported the next in line to the throne was hoping to nab the property for himself after being left underwhelmed by Adelaide Cottage.

He, Kate Middleton and their three children had moved into the property just under a year ago, and it is claimed that William is less than pleased.

Friend of the family Lady Hervey alleged: "I think it's sort of also quite obvious that this is Prince William wanting the house.

"This has nothing to do with budgets, this is William wanting the big house – he's not happy in the small one."
