A WOMAN has been charged with attempted murder after a man was left fighting for life after allegedly being mowed down in a hit-and-run smash.
The victim, aged in his 40s, was discovered with significant head injuries in Erdington, West Midlands, on Friday night.
He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Gina Brown, 44, has been charged with attempted murder and will appear from custody at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow.
She is also facing charges of driving while above the drink drive limit and failing to stop.
West Midlands Police confirmed the victim is known to Brown.
The force said: "We've charged a woman with attempted murder after a man was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Erdington on Friday night.
"We’re continuing to appeal for anyone who was passing through the Reservoir Road area at around 10pm on Friday and may have information to contact us."
Witnesses can call police on 101 quoting 20/1792022/21.
