Woman in her 60s mauled to death by out of control dogs inside house | The Sun

A WOMAN in her 60s has been mauled to death by out-of-control dogs inside a house.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene after today's incident in Liverpool, thought to have involved at least two dogs.

Several dogs have also reportedly been heard barking from within a police cordon.

Forensics are at the scene and are investigating a property on St Bridgs Crescent.

The victims next of kin is understood to have been informed.

A major emergency service response included police officers, firefighters and paramedics.

One woman told the Liverpool Echo: "It's just so awful. You can't imagine how much the family are hurting right now. They'll be devastated."

Detective Inspector Gavin Mulcahy said: "We understand the shock that this incident will cause in the local community and beyond.

"Our officers are at the scene carrying out further enquiries so if you have any information please let us know."
