THE race is on to find the worst town in England – and there's a few frontrunners already.
A controversial poll aiming to find the country's worst place to live is running for another year.
Peterborough claimed the top spot in 2021 and is on track to repeat as the least desirable area – but Luton has made a late surge.
One Peterborough resident said the area was "draining" and even voted for their own town.
They said: "You feel totally isolated from the rest of the world and life in general, as though everything else is going on and you’re not part of it as you’re stuck in this dump.”
It comes as locals blasted the city as one of the "worst places to live in the UK" with an eyesore swamping streets with filthy water.
