Bombalicious Eklaver Should Be the Face of This Year's Holiday Season TBH

With Bombalicious Eklaver’s drag, it’s really go big or go home. Her Cosmo Queens appearance was thankfully no exception. Can we take a moment to admire the lip! The eyes! The headpiece! This is a holiday look for the books, and “obsessed” doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel about it.

Bomba told us that she’s gotten a lot of drag influence from her culture. “I’m an immigrant with mixed blood, and presenting my culture is important to me. I’ve drawn inspiration from Filipino folklore like tikbalang and manananggal, Filipino iconography like Sto. Niño, Maria Clara, our Miss Universe winners, and the butterfly-sleeves terno.”

“I’m always inspired by strong iconic women in my life and those I look up to. Filipina ‘bomba stars’ who were fearless in their sexuality were also very iconic to me growing up.”

As much as she loves looking like a “walking piece of art,” Bomba occasionally steers aways from the gigantic ensembles.

“I really love it best when I’m nearly naked in drag. Nothing but nipple pasties, a thong, and some killer heels. Or sometimes I would just cover myself in gold paint, put on gold chain panties and I’m ready for the world. “

“Drag can be very uncomfortable, so wearing almost nothing is very liberating. And when you’re as old as I am, you become really comfortable in your own skin that you don’t care about what others may think about how you look.”
