The Golden Globes took place on Sunday night, and even though most of the celebrities in attendance tuned in virtually from their respective living rooms, they didn’t skimp on going all out for the night with their outfits and beauty looks. From Laverne Cox’s Bridgerton-inspired braided crowd to Sarah Hyland matching her red hair to her gown, there were some showstopping hair moments on last night’s digital red carpet. Through it all, though, there was one hair trend that took over the night: Old Hollywood glamour.

Usually, this classic look can be characterized by pairing deep side parts (divisive as they are) with ’40s-and-’50s-inspired waves. Amanda Seyfried, for example, achieved hers with help from celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora, who blew out the actress’s hair with a blow dryer before curling and pinning each curl to her head while they cooled down for extra hold. The Queen’s Gambit‘s Anya Taylor-Joy, on the other hand, entered the chat with hair of the same inspiration, though hers was only slightly curled at the ends.

Check out who else took the Old Hollywood route at the 2021 Golden Globes ahead.
