Adele admits she tells a load of filthy jokes in trailer for Oprah Winfrey special

Adele says she will be cracking “filthy jokes” during what appears to be an otherwise classy live show recorded for her upcoming Oprah special in a trailer for the programme.

Airing in the US on 14 November, the two-hour TV affair promises discussions about the British singing sensation’s new album 30, dropping 19 November, and will feature performances from Adele also.

“It will look really elegant, and then I’ll tell a load of filthy jokes,” she explains to Oprah Winfrey in the trailer. “It’ll be a real sort of whiplash for ’em.”

In the first of two new trailers for the show, Adele is seen sitting across from the legendary chat show host wearing a white trouser suit with embellishments along the side and her hair swooped in her signature luscious waves.

Oprah, 67, is dressed to match; wearing a white trouser suit as the pair sat in her famous rose garden – the location for many engaging interviews the former chat show host has recently carried out.

The iconic interviewer promised “a very special night” in the clip, which quickly switched to shots of Adele standing on an outside stage at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California where she filmed her performances in front of an intimate audience.

The 33 year old is heard performing her 2010 hit single Rolling in The deep, wearing a glamorous black gown with gigantic wrap-around sleeves and a sparkly bustier with her hair in a bouffant up 'do.

Amongst the spectators were celebrities Lizzo and actress Gabrielle Union, who watched in awe as the singer impressively belted out her classic tunes with seemingly no effort required at all.

Adele is also seen singing part of her 2012 James Bond single Skyfall in an additional clip, which is met with huge rounds of applause from the audience, whetting the appetites of viewers for the upcoming programme.

A UK TV special will follow soon after on 21 November, titled An Audience with Adele, which has already been filmed in London and was attended by many British stars including Stormzy, Dua Lipa and actress Emma Watson.

This comes after Adele gave fans a taster of what’s to come on her new album by including a sample of previously unreleased song, Hold On, in Amazon’s Christmas advert, which features on the track-list.

The singer has since made the full titles for her album 30 known, which include songs I Drink Wine, Strangers By Nature and a bonus duet number with country US singer Chris Stapleton.
