Adele Opens Up About Postponing Las Vegas Residency

In a new interview, Adele has opened up about postponing her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency earlier this year.

Adele was set to perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in January, and on the eve of the show, she posted a tearful video explaining the decision to delay the residency.

“It was the worst moment in my career, by far. I was so excited about those shows. It was devastating,” the Grammy award winner says in a cover story for the September issue of Elle magazine.

“There was just no soul in it,” according to the global superstar.

“The stage setup wasn’t right. It was very disconnected from me and my band, and it lacked intimacy. And maybe I tried too hard to give it those things in such a controlled environment,” the 34-year-old told Elle.

Adele added that although it was a really hard decision, it actually made her confidence grow, “because it was a very brave thing to do.”

“And I don’t think many people would have done what I did,” she said.
“I’m very proud of myself for standing by my artistic needs.”

About the upcoming rescheduled Las Vegas residency, which kicks off in November, Adele said fans can expect to hear the entire story of her career.
