Amanda Lamb admits A Place In The Sun return ‘in pipeline’ 14 years after exit

Amanda Lamb was a familiar face on A Place In The Sun, after fronting the Channel 4 show from 2001 to 2009, and she has now hinted at her forthcoming return.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the star revealed “I might be doing something with them this year”, when quizzed on if she misses being part of the show.

14 years after her departure from A Place In The Sun’s presenting team, Amanda shared: “A Place In The Sun was amazing, and I had so much fun doing it.

“I might be doing something with them this year, but I can’t say any more than that!” She teased.

Reflecting on her “amazing” time on the Channel 4 show, Amanda admitted: “I do miss it, of course I do.

“There’s nothing better than waking up in the morning and looking out to a beautiful beach.”

Fortunately for Amanda, she has discovered other ways of getting her fix – by visiting sandy beaches and blue skies alongside her two daughters.

She added: “I just have to make sure, now, I’m taking the girls away on holiday soon, and whenever I can I sneak off somewhere!”

Amanda also mentioned A Place In The Sun while discussing her forthcoming projects.

The mum-of-two explained: “TV is a great waiting game, it’s sort of feast or famine, you’re either manically busy, or not.

“But I’ve got a couple of things in the pipeline; I’m doing lots of stuff on my Instagram, I’ve just got a role where I’m going to be an ambassador for a chain of hotels, so I’ll be travelling around to some really lovely hotels.

“And, yeah, maybe something with A Place In The Sun coming up, so a few little irons in a few little fires.”

Amanda has also been busy fronting The Saved and Remade Workshop, which airs on Really.

In the new series, viewers will see a team of skilled carpenters and metalworkers reimagine the purpose and function of family heirlooms and treasures.

In each episode, three contributors hand over their beloved but neglected objects to a re-maker, who will work on a transformation.
