Amber Gill opened up on the frightening moment she was left terrified some men were going to “kidnap” her as they followed her home after a night out.

The former Love Island winner, 23, posted a series of stories on her Instagram detailing her memories of the scary incident.

She warned her male followers not to approach women on the street, and urged men to chat people up in safe public spaces instead.

Explaining what happened as she recalled the “uncomfortable” experience walking with her friends, Amber had angrily confronted the men who were following them.

“I felt a bit bad for being mean BUT my heart was beating FAST for what?? For nothing," she wrote in her story.

“Like I thought we were getting kidnapped and my guy says, ‘We just wanted to chat.’”

“Just leave girls alone. Especially at night. I promise it's not the time or the place to chat or [be] hitting on someone,” the reality star continued, determined to get through to men who thought this behaviour was appropriate.

“There are plenty of places to meet girls, following them at night is not it,” the social media influencer demanded.

The dark-haired beauty didn’t manage to get through to all her followers, as she received an onslaught of criticism complaining she was painting “all men” in the same light.

In response to the fury at the idea of “all” men being “disrespectful”, Amber explained that she didn’t want anyone who ended up in a position like hers to be “naive”.

“Honestly if you come with the ‘not all men’ energy you may as well just say you like to harass girls in the dead of night,” Amber declared boldly, sharing a screenshot of the comments she’d received.

“If you are more outraged by me saying ‘men’ instead of girls actually feeling scared to walk alone and not feeling safe and feeling in danger when they see men then you are part of the problem.

“I will say men because I don't want any girl to be naive enough to trust anyone yelling at them in the street because ‘not all men’ are like that,” Amber went on.

The star also insisted that men thinking they’re just “being friendly” trying to approach women on the street should rethink their chat-up strategy, because it’s always scary when a woman is outnumbered.

“No men can't be friendly when there is a big group of them and 1 or 2 girls, it's weird. If you are trying to make friends go to a social event, not in the middle of a street at night.

“If you want to look out for a woman, don't follow her or talk to her, just make sure she gets where she needs to go while you can see her,” the passion star added.

It comes as the star appeared on Love Island: Aftersun as a panellist Sunday night, passionately insisting Jake Cornish can’t be trusted and Faye Winter and Teddy Soares could win this year’s series.

The star also did a Q&A with her followers when she got home and shared her thoughts on the latest bombshells in the villa, as well as Toby Aromolaran's latest antics.
