Angelina Jolie Suited Up in Her 'Eternals' Uniform for a Magazine Cover

After what feels like a lifetime, but in reality is actually just two years, Marvel's Eternals is finally heading to the big screen this November.

The action film, directed by Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao, features an impressive and diverse cast that includes Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, and Salma Hayek.

In anticipation of its release, Entertainment Weekly produced a set of 10 character-driven digital covers, which spotlighted the aforementioned actors as well as Richard Madden, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, and Don Lee.

Jolie, who appears in her character's body-hugging structured costume on her respective cover, opened up about working on the hotly anticipated film given Zhao's somewhat unconventional methods.

"It really felt like she was pulling out of us something that was more personal, from a deeper side of ourselves," Jolie said of the Nomadland director. "She wasn't looking to put something on top of us, like a character. She was looking for us to reveal ourselves as the character."

The actress and UN Special Envoy doesn't appear onscreen as often as she once did, but she found Eternals' ensemble structure difficult to resist. "I just wanted to be a part of this family," she told the magazine. "I have a slightly unconventional family myself, so it felt familiar."

Despite the breadth of the cast, the members insist they all bonded throughout filming. Jolie apparently even hosted a Halloween party for Eternals' cast and crew — she went as a giraffe.

"Standing there next to each other, the first time we all stood in our suits together and took off our secrecy cloaks and had to stand there for the shot, what you felt was just a lot of support,"Jolie said of shooting. "We were smiling at each other, and there was just a lot of kindness."
