Britney Spears has said she "wants her life back" as she speaks in a brand new documentary, set to air later this month.

The 39 year old pop star's conservatorship is the subject of the Netflix doc and will finally give Britney fans an insight into how she really feels about it.

It is the first time fans will hear Britney's views on the conservatorship since she spoke in court earlier this year.

The Netflix documentary, titled Britney vs Spears, will air on Tuesday 28 October on the streaming platform.

In the teaser trailer for the documentary, the singer is heard saying: "I just want my life back".

She later added: "I've worked my whole life. I don't owe these people anything."

The trailer sees investigative journalists look into her conservatorship and her relationship with her parents Lynne and Jamie Spears, who is the lead in her conservatorship. They also speak to those who have been close to Britney throughout the conservatorship and her life.

One person close to the hit singer could be heard revealing: "Britney never had one person she could trust. Not mum, not dad."

While another added: "Britney had a fear that her family would barge in and take everything."

Britney, who recently got engaged to Sam Asghari, has been under a conservatorship for 13 years. But now, she wants her life back.

She tells viewers: "I deserve to have the same rights as anybody does. It's been 13 years and it's enough."

The trailer, which was released by Netflix on the social media platforms, has already received a huge reaction from fans.

One excited fan wrote: "OMGGG #FreeBritney" while another said: "HOLY S**T!"

A third said the trailer "gave me chills" while a fourth added: "WE WILL BE WATCHING".

It comes as Britney's lawyer Mathew Rosengart told a judge that he expects her conservatorship to end "completely and inevitably" this autumn, according to TMZ.

Britney's lawyer said in legal documents that there have been "changed circumstances that warrant the end of the conservatorship", including being allowed to select her own lawyer, therefore meaning she has the "capacity and capability to identify, engage, and instruct counsel of her own choice".

Matthew also cited Britney's father Jamie's recent court filing, where he asked for his daughter's conservatorship to end.

Jamie said in court documents earlier this month: "If Ms. Spears wants to terminate the conservatorship and believes that she can handle her own life, Mr. Spears believes that she should get that chance."
