Meghan Markle, 40, is known for her love of designer labels, however, Lady Colin Campbell has remarked that often her clothes don’t appear to fit properly when attending social functions. The aristocrat claimed the Duchess Of Sussex’s posture is “all wrong” because she “swaggers around” meaning her customised garments get “horizontal pulls” in them.

Speaking on royal dress code and etiquette, Lady Colin said in her latest YouTube video: “Your posture has to be regal, you can’t walk like Joan Collins, it is unacceptable.”

The former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! contestant also claimed it was bad manners to “flaunt yourself” at functions as part of the monarchy.

Lady Colin referred specifically to former Suits actress Meghan’s unfamiliarity with royal protocol and occasionwear, as she analysed her “ill-fitting” formal attire.

She continued: “Meghan Markle doesn’t know how to walk, that’s also one of the reasons why her clothes are always so obviously ill-fitting, because not only are they too tight or too loose, but because she has not grown up with couture, she doesn’t understand the concept of ease.

“A garment is supposed to have ease. This means you are supposed to move around without getting diagonal or horizontal pulls.

“Her posture is all wrong because she puffs her chest out too much and swaggers so even if there was ease, the fit becomes wrong.

“When she is standing still her clothes fit much better than when she is in motion,” she observed.

At Meghan’s wedding in 2018, her Givenchy dress was admired by some people, though others also saw it as “ill-fitting” for a royal bride.

As the duchess made her way to St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018, many followers seemed to have divided opinions about her wedding dress.

As Harper’s Bazaar reported, Twitter exploded with users expressing their disappointment at the “ill-fitting” dress.

On the podcast Royally Obsessed, a commentator also criticised the wedding gown, which was designed by Givenchy’s Artistic Director, Clare Waight Keller

“The tough one about this is, if she had seen the dress multiple times and had multiple fittings, it should have fit better,” writer Kaitlin Menza told Express.co.uk.

However, the criticism about Meghan’s clothes did not stop on her wedding day. As she began attending to her royal duties, her outfits constantly got criticised for not being properly fitted.

For example, the black Jason Wu dress she wore to the premiere of The Lion King in 2019 was seen as way too tight in the top portion of her body.

The grey Roland Mouret dress she wore in Ireland in 2018 was disliked by royal followers for the way it improperly showed imprints of her bra.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s nude Goat dress she wore to Prince Charles’ 70th birthday celebration at Buckingham Palace was put down for seemingly being a size too big for her.

Additionally, fashion experts also note that the fabrics Meghan often chooses are prone to wrinkles.

Perhaps the reason why Meghan has had some moments of fashion “misses” as a royal is because she did not have a stylist.

As reported by ELLE in 2019, the actress frequently dressed herself. She reportedly did her own hair and makeup as well.

“I was with her last month, and she was going on a public engagement. Harry and I were sitting with the dogs, and we were all chatty, and she’s painting her nails,” a source told People.

“Except for her wedding, she does all her own makeup. Dresses herself, styles herself.”
