Chanelle Hayes has candidly opened up on her eight stone weight loss, revealing is has not been an "easy road" for her.

Big Brother star, 33, underwent Bariatric surgery, which she recently said was her "last resort".

Following the eight stone weight loss, Chanelle has taken the time to reflect on her journey so far and open up to fans.

Chanelle, who recently channeled Victoria Beckham in a Posh Spice outfit, shared a photo of herself before and after her weight loss, where she looks equally stunning in both snaps, to make the comparison for fans.

As she shared the photo with her 116,000 followers, Chanelle began her caption with a motivational quote.

Quoting writer Madalyn Beck, the reality star began with: "Start over my darling. Be brave enough to find the life you want and courageous enough to chase it. Then start over and love yourself the way you were always meant to."

She then opened up on her recent surgery and told her followers: "I know some people see #bariatricsurgery as cheating… but it’s not an easy road, and one that was difficult for me to decide to walk down.

"I want to share my experience on here because #foodaddiction is real and, whether people choose bariatrics or not, the way this addiction is viewed by society as a whole is as though it’s “just an excuse to be greedy”. It's not," she said.

Chanelle continued to open up on the emotional impact of her struggle as she went on: "It’s hard to love yourself when you’re disgusted at yourself. It’s not easy to find the courage to change unhealthy behaviours when they’re your way of self-comforting.

"I’ve chosen blue for these pictures to convey that, even if you do change your life, blue days still happen and even though physical health can be improved, working on our #mentalhealth is a constant battle."

She then urged her followers: "Let’s not belittle some people’s addictions just because they don’t fit what an addiction should look like in other people’s minds. Everyone’s struggles are valid."

Fans then took to the comments to praise Chanelle's inspiring words.
