Dancing On Ice’s James Jordan heartbroken as he lays ‘amazing’ dad to rest after he died of a brain tumour

James Jordan has shared an emotional tribute to his late father on the day of his funeral.

The 43-year-old, who recently shaved his hair live on Loose Women for charity in honour of his dad, lost Allan to a terminal brain tumour five weeks ago and took to his Twitter account to speak out about the funeral today (Tuesday 20 April).

"Today is the funeral of the most amazing man I have ever met," he wrote, alongside a broken heart emoji.

Many of his 273,000 followers were quick to comment, including one person who explained she's been nursing her own father who has a brain tumour and described the tough period as the "saddest time of my life".

Relating to her situation, James wrote back: "My thoughts and prayers are with you. It's a devastating disease," followed by a crying face emoji.

James later shared a four and a half minute video dedicated to Allan, which started with the words: "In memory of a life lived to its fullest in every way. A loving husband, father and grandfather." as Frank Sinatra's My Way played in the background.

The clip then showed a black and white photo of the professional dancer's dad as a young boy, before several clips of him enjoying water skiing, as well as other photos of his kids as they all grew up.

At the end of the video, James wrote: "Allan Paul Jordan 31st August 1952 – 13th March 2021," before sharing a a video of him going paragliding.

In the caption, Jordan simply said: "RIP Dad."

James’ father was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2020 after suffering multiple seizures, shortly after James and his wife Ola Jordan welcomed their daughter Ella.

Jordan announced the sad news of his father's passing on Instagram and Twitter in mid-March, telling fans: "My dad became an angel at 8.05am."

“I will forever miss him My dad will always by my HERO,” [sic] he continued, before ending the statement with: “RIP Daddy”.

The day before sharing the sad news, James announced his dad was “ready to go” on Twitter. He said: “No one should have to go through what my family are watching my dad go through.

“I pray to God that you come soon and make him one of your angels He has his bags packed and is ready to go and see his mum and dad again”. [sic]

James then added: “My dad is my hero @BrainTumourOrg needs your support”.
