Dancing on Ice star Ria Hebden has told how she was left panicking over a missing element during her performance on the first week of the show. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the Lorraine presenter, 39, spoke of her panic at not having had time to practice her first performance with partner Lukasz Rozycki and a prop they were planning on using.

I was really anxious about it last week as it does feature in the performance and it hasn’t arrived

Speaking just days before she took to the ice, Ria spoke out about dealing with elements of the show that were “out of her control”.

Ria said: “We have a prop, a major prop that we’re using in our opening number and it only arrived today.”

Not giving any clues about what the prop is away, the Dancing On Ice contestant told how she only has a few days practice with the item.

She admitted: “I was really anxious about it last week as it does feature in the performance and it hasn’t arrived.

“But it’s been much better now it’s here and I can get familiar with it.

“I’m relieved, excited and relieved!” she added.

However, the star also said she had yet to see the outfit she’ll be wearing during the first live show.

Ria explained: “I still haven’t seen my outfit yet, I’m like, ‘What’s happening?!’

“It’s very surreal, all these elements are completely out of my control.

“You just have to kind of surrender to them,” she admitted.

The Lorraine star was eliminated from the show on movie week following a skate-off with S Club star Rachel Stevens and her partner Brendyn Hatfield.

The same week, Kimberly Wyatt was awarded the high score of 34 following her routine to The Greatest Show.

Taking to social media to address her exit, the star told how she was “proud” of what she had achieved, having previously revealed that she’d had no skating experience.

After thanking her fans for their messages of support, Ria gushed over her time on the ice.

She wrote: “I’ve had the most extraordinary, magical and challenging adventure on @dancingonice and am so proud to have pushed myself to achieve things beyond what I could have ever imagined.”

Ria posted a snap of her and Lukasz dressed as Frozen’s Princess Elsa and a prince from their last performance.

Following her departure, Ria appeared on Lorraine to chat to the host about her experiences on Dancing on Ice.

She said: “I put so much of myself into this, it was the most physically demanding and challenging thing I’ve done in my life

“It shows you how much you can achieve if you commit and are fully consistent every single day.

“I’m super proud I really pushed myself this week to skate parts on my own, it’s been magical,” she added.

Dancing on Ice continues tonight at 6pm on ITV.
