Danielle Armstrong says Ferne McCann and Lorri are enjoying engagement bubble

Danielle Armstrong says she was “not at all” surprised by friend Ferne McCann’s whirlwind engagement to Dubai-based real estate agent Lorri Haines back in July.

The former TOWIE star said the couple are “in their bubble” after Lorri popped the question and are “enjoying their time together”.

Dani, 34, told OK!: “I was just so happy for her. It’s all so exciting for them.

“I think she’s just happy being engaged. Ferne and Lorri are just in their bubble and enjoying their time together.”

Lorri proposed to the reality star during a romantic trip to Paris over the summer.

Sharing a snap to social media as she flashed her ring finger to the camera, showcasing a stunning diamond engagement ring, Ferne, 31, wrote: "So happily ever afters do exist".

"I cannot wait to do forever with you baby @lozzahaines," the mum-of-one added.

The pair's engagement came after Ferne told OK! thatshe was sure it was going to happen.

"[Marriage and kids] is definitely something we talk about all the time. Lorri’s the first person I can see having a future with, so those things often come up. And with one of my best friendsDanielle[Armstrong] getting married this year – it’s happening all around us," she revealed to us.

Dani wed construction site manager Tom Edney – with whom she shares a little girl, Orla – in August after their paths first crossed when they were just 11 years old.

She said it was “the best day ever” and that she finally got her “fairy-tale”.

The mum of one explained: “I thought I would be crying loads. I didn’t cry when Tommy gave his speech, I felt emotion but I wasn’t crying. I did cry when we had our first dance.

"It was me, Tommy and Orla dancing to a song I love. I had finally got my fairy-tale. It was the best day ever.”

She also opened up about her decision to change her name.

She said: “I feel like years ago, no one really asked that question. I’m all for female empowerment, but I am still quite traditional. I wanted to take his name. I still find it weird though.

“I loved the idea of taking his name because Orla has Tom’s last name already, so it feels like we’re more of a family unit now.

"We were looking at pre-schools for Orla and the receptionist rang one day and said, 'Hello, is Mrs Edney there?' And I was like, 'Oh, that’s me!'"
