Danielle Lloyd admits she was ‘worried’ as her baby ‘went quiet’ in her bump

Danielle Lloyd has revealed to OK! she was worried this week as her baby – who is due to be born anytime now – went quiet as she experienced "reduced movements" in her bump.

In this week's column, the 37 year old discusses why she is sad to say goodbye to her final pregnancy, but is glad she is no longer doing the school runs…

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON

I’m in hospital at the moment as I’m being monitored. Michael dropped me off and I’ve got people coming in and out all of the time to check on me and the baby. I was feeling fine but I came in one evening for a Covid test. They asked me about the movements of the baby but she was quite quiet during the week so I was a bit worried.

When you have reduced movements, they ask you to come in to be monitored to check everything is alright. So, I was monitored in the evening and they asked me to come back the following morning. The kids were stressing out because they only thought I was going in for a Covid test. It all seems fine though. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

NO MORE SCHOOL RUNS

This week I have barely done anything, apart from getting the colour on my hair done. Michael was like, “Why are you getting your colour done?” And I said to him, “I want to look good!” He told me, “You’re bloody crazy.” It was so nice having it done and it’s one less thing to worry about later down the line because you want to feel good afterwards. I’m not going to have time to do that when the baby is here, so I thought, why not?

It’s nice having some time to myself as well. I’ve been resting loads and getting her clothes and bottles ready. I think Michael is exhausted as obviously he’s doing everything at the moment. I’m struggling to even do the school runs right now, so he must be very tired!

SAYING FAREWELL TO MY LAST PREGNANCY

We still haven’t decided on a name for our little girl, but we keep looking at our shortlist of names.

I was actually speaking to my midwife about it. I feel like she's just going to be a baby without a name for a while. I’m sure I will know her name when I hold her. It’s funny thinking this will be my last pregnancy.

I’ll definitely miss having a bump but I won’t miss this agonising back pain! I think it is sad that it will be my final time, but I am getting older and I have so many kids now. The thing is, they grow up so fast. Before I know it, we will be looking after our grandchildren.

BABY UNDER THE TREE

We haven’t made any plans for when she arrives yet, but all I know is that we are all so excited for Christmas! I wanted to put the tree up this week but Michael didn’t let me. He’s banned me until next weekend.

We will be going big with our decorations as I’ve bought so many already! The boys are really excited too. George said all he wants for Christmas is a sister, and I was like, “Well, it’s good you’re getting one!”
