TV star Davina McCall, 52, has spoken out about a burglary while in Spain filming scenes for her new television programme. The presenter said she was left with a “horrible feeling” following the incident.

Burglars broke into her boyfriend’s home in London and stole a safe containing valuables.

“It’s just feeling violated. Anyone who’s been burgled knows what that feels like,” Davina said during a recent podcast appearance.

“It makes you want to move out of your house immediately. I hate it.

“It’s a horrible horrible feeling,” she added.

Davina has been dating hairdresser Michel Douglas, 47, for about two years.

The couple were abroad while the TV star filmed the Language of Love when they spoke about the past robbery.

The hair stylist, who is regularly seen on This Morning, has now ramped up the security at his property, changed the locks and installed CCTV.

It sends him a notification if anyone were to enter his home.

Michael spoke about the incident briefly in the most recent episode of their joint podcast, Making the Cut.

“I’ve been burgled recently. Someone broke into my house and took my safe,” he explained.

He went on to say that his new security equipment has a motion sensor.

It’s reassuring to be able to see live footage from inside your house when you are not there, Davina said of the device.
