Emma Willis: The Voice UK host gives rare marriage insight ‘My heart exploded’

Emma Willis recalls thinking Matt was breaking up with her

Emma Willis, 44, uploaded a sweet snap of her husband of 12 years Matt Willis, 37, doing Yoga alongside their daughter Trixie Grace, four, on to her Instagram Story today. The Voice UK presenter will have undoubtedly made her fans swoon, as she shared her heart had “exploded” upon stumbling across the daddy-daughter bonding session at home.

Emma took a sneaky snap of Matt and Trixie, while they were both on their Yoga mats practising the Cobra Pose.

The Cobra Pose is a popular position in most Yoga practices and is designed to strengthen the spine and relieve back pain.

The TV star typed alongside the photo: “My heart exploded when I walked into this,” as she gushed over her husband and youngest daughter.

Emma and Matt are parents to daughter Isabelle, 11, Ace, nine and four-year-old Trixie Grace.

The Big Brother host also shared several photographs of the families fun-filled day as they celebrated a light dusting of snow in their garden.

Emma said she was “buzzing” over the capital receiving a sprinkle of snow earlier this morning.

Getting into the winter spirit, Matt had whipped up a fresh pot of hot chocolate for them all to enjoy.

The family appear to be remaining at their London home as the national lockdown still remains in place throughout Britain.

It comes as Emma recently defended her son Ace after uploading a photograph of him wearing a pink T-shirt and blue jeans.

Following some negative reaction to the photos from some fans, Emma shared on Good Morning Britain that she is raising her son to be “open-minded”.

She said: “Do you know what I was really overwhelmed actually, because it’s just my son in a pink top … and for me that’s kind of normality because he loves colour, he’s always had long hair.

“He’s a very free and open-minded boy who is like, ‘Why do I have to dress in green and blue and grey if I like pink and red and purple? Why is that not okay?’

“We’re raising him as an open-minded and inclusive individual.”

She added: “There was some negativity but that’s the beauty of the block button.”

On Ace’s birthday, Emma uploaded a sweet tribute to her son.

She typed: “Happy birthday baby boy. 9 years gone in the blink of an eye, it really does fly by doesn’t it…

“He’s the kindest kid with the sweetest of souls, I am constantly in awe of him.

“Pure and true in everything he does, open-minded, thoughtful, inquisitive and a creative mind that is constantly exploring.”

The couple has been homeschooling their children over the past couple of weeks after schools were forced to close.

On her social media, Emma shared a photo of a large robot made from cardboard and foil, alongside the photo she typed: “#homeschooling.”
