Gary Barlow thinks Take That will be Back For Good as an original five-piece before long.

The band have been working as a three-piece for seven years with Gary, 50, Mark Owen, 48, and Howard Donald, 50, carrying on as a trio.

Robbie Williams, 46, has appeared on stage with them on occasion but never officially re-joined.

But since Jason Orange, 50, went totally "off the grid", fans have given up hope of seeing the five original members back together.

However, Gary believes Take That will reunite in the future as he called the band his 'safe haven'.

When asked if a reunion with all five stars is on the horizon, he told The Mirror : "I think there will [be], I think there will [be].

"That’s one of the thrills of being in the band. You don’t know what’s going to happen from record to record and it’s lovely.

"It’s the environment. It feels like a safe haven. It’s a place to go back to when you’ve done a bit of playing around and it’s time to go home."

Jason has hardly been seen since he announced in 2014 that he was leaving the man band.

Singer Howard said Jason was completely "off-grid" when he chatted to the Loose Women three years ago.

But he said the others would welcome him with open arms if he ever decided to pick up the phone.

Howard said: "Jason’s gone off the grid. He’s not taking emails or phone calls or stuff like that.

"But that’s good for him, that’s where he wants to be. I think he wants to be a million miles away from this at the moment.

"Who knows in the near future he might decide to change his mind and if he does he’s welcome back anytime."

Robbie said in 2019 that he had even considered drastic measures to try and track down Jason.

The star joked: “I should hire a private detective — he finds out where Jason Orange is, we inject him with a beeping thing, a chip, then we know where he is at all times.”

Jason said at the time of his departure in 2014: "At a band meeting last week I confirmed to Mark, Gary, and Howard that I do not wish to commit to recording and promoting a new album.

"At the end of The Progress Tour I began to question whether it might be the right time for me to not continue on with Take That.

"There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this."
