Hannibal Rising star and Marvel actor Gaspard Ulliel has died after suffering a serious head injury in a horror skiing accident in the Alps. The 37-year-old model and actor was rushed to hospital in a serious condition after the incident in the La Rosière ski resort in the Savoie region on Tuesday.

Ulliel, known for appearing in Chanel perfume ads as well as film and television roles, suffered a serious head injury in the crash, local broadcaster France Bleu said.

His family confirmed his death in a statement on Wednesday.

According to reports, the Marvel actor collied with another skier at a crossing point on the slopes.

Following the collision, the on-screen star was airlifted to a hospital in Grenoble.

Twitter user, Olwethu penned: “Gaspard Ulliel was great in everything I saw him in but my favorite performance of his will always be in Xavier Dolan’s It’s Only The End of the World. Gone too soon. RIP.”

Tink wrote: “Rest well Gaspard.”

Jessie commented: “This is so devastating, I can’t believe this. It’s Only the End of the World is one of my favorite movies, largely due to Gaspard Ulliel’s heartbreaking performance. RIP.”
